and we're back. goddam I'm lazy, or negligent. anyways, hey everyone, been a little busy I guess. we have a new band on the label. Anvil Crawler is a new band from lansing, that has 2 former members of Croatone, the member of The Jackpine Snag, and a bass player who's been in the lansing scene for a number of years now. check this out. great band. other news. the next heavy comp will be out in November. some great bands on that one. we're starting a 7" series also. the first one will be with Dead Hour Noise and Hordes. so keep an eye out on that. cheers

hey there everyone. update time again. let's see.....first off, we would really love to welcome a new band to our family. we're very proud to be working with the great people in Big Empty Sky now. they're a fantastic band from the east side of michigan and they're working on a new recording. once we have a release date, we'll get that out. in other news, our electric madman, Survival Biscuit has just sent out a new track. sounds really cool and i'm thinking we'll probably hear more real soon. there are a bunch of shows happeninig with The Jackpine Snag, Slumlord Radio and Dead Hour Noise coming up. so make sure to check the calender out. there might even be another new band announcement really soon also. cheers.

The Jackpine Snag just dropped their new ep. Dead Hour Noise has recorded a song for their side of the new 7 inch series that's coming out later on this year. Hordes will be the 2nd side. word is that Slumlord Radio is got some new stuff they're working on. lots of stuff in the work. maybe even a few new bands joining the label and a new heavy comp?

so here we are once again. time for an update. things are moving along with the label. Survival Biscuit has handed in a new ep that will be sure enough to tame yr electro taste buds. that should be available on digital by august. The Jackpine Snag are working on their next ep. Antilogical is having their 7" release show in august, with a great show that has both The Jackpine Snag and Slumlord Radio on it. I'm also working on the next heavy comp. that should be out, hopefully, by new years.

why, hello there. yes yes, i know what yr thinking. "what the hell, 2 updates within a month's time?". well, i have things to tell you all. first, just talked to dustin from Antilogical, and he told me they're gonna be recording next month for an eventual 7" record. we're not going to be releasing it, but we love and support these guys, so look out for that. i also talke to ed, from Dead Hour Noise. they're finishing up their new recordings (this one we'll release) and it should be out in the next couple of months. you better keep an eye out for that. probably just melt yr skin off. would also like to say congrats to ben from Nocturnal Aviators in Action, and his wife for welcoming into the world their new baby boy. we love you guys.

hey, update time. not a ton happening, but there is a little bit. we would like to welcome The Id Of Christ to the label. they're a cool 2 piece outfit from Grand Rapids, so make them feel welcome and like their facebook and junk. Slumlord Radio has a new recording coming out soon. we're gonna co-release it with Honyock Records. Trollhammer just went in to record new stuff. that should be really amazing. we just released a new comp of michigan heavy stuff called "Choatic Evil Means Never Having To Say You're Sorry". lots of stuff in the pipeline, so keep an ear out.

well, another poorly timed update, but oh well i guess. so hey, it's late january and things are starting to finally pick up around here. the new comp is finallly going ot be finished this week. i've already heard a few mastered versions, and some slight changes were made, so the final master should be here soon, as well as the kick ass artwork, done by Joe Hart as usual. Slumlord Radio just dropped a new release with us (co-released with Honyock Records). it's called $3, A Half Pack Of Smokes, And Some Other Jive S**t. it's a great mix of older and brand new tunes. Antilogical have announced that they're going to be recording a 7' ep with East Grand Records, so be on the look out when that comes out. lots of things on the horizon that i'll get to later, so stayed tuned.....per se.....

holy no updates batbastard. damn. sorry for such a long gap iin updates. well now, it's update time. we have some more new releases coming out in the next few months. Slumlord Radio is coming back with a new release with us. that's finishing up post-production. Nuhgjahre is having their cd release show on November 22nd in Grand Rapids, don't miss that. also, one of the newer additions to the label, People Grinding Axes, will be releasing their label debut shortly. and finally, the next volume of No F@%king Egos, This is Lansing will be seeing the light of day hopefully by the end of the year or early 2015. lots of shows coming also, so keep yr ears open.

wow! way over due for an update. sorry to anyone who actually reads this. the amazing fun of getting lost in one's life during the winter pratfalls. what a joy. hey, anyways, news time. The Jackpine Snag are on hiatus while they work some personnel issues out, but their second ep will be coming out in early summer. Fade To Black just went back into the studio to record a new track. that will be amazing to hear. Nocturnal Avaitors in Action are going to be doing a release show for their ep, Wombat Combat, which will be coming out on cd form soon. a bunch of the bands are all playing around, we'll have the show listings back up soon. also, watch out for the next volume of No F@%king Egos, to be out in late spring.

so, some great things happening as of late. Croatone has finished a 6 song ep and are working on mass producing it. I've heard it, and it's everything that you would expect from those masters of post-hardcore instrumental rage. keep on a look out for that. our buddies, Dustin and Ryan from Antilogical have started a production conglomerate, called You're Not Invited, working to bring cool bands to the Grand Rapids area. check them out and give them a like on facebook. David from Slumlord Radio has started a new label, called Honyock Records. please find them on facebook and share their page. Slumlord Radio will still be working with us and our friends some, but they're officially on Honyock now. we wish them well. other than that, check out the shows that everybody has coming up. remember to support local music and support yr scene.

the news is out. the long awaited Fade To Black album is coming out, and the release show is on august 17th, at Scene Metrospace in east lansing. i listened to it recently, i thought it was a great rock-n-roll recording. it really captures everything that Fade To Black are about. in other label news, both Antilogical and The Jackpine Snag are working on getting new material around to record in the very near future. also, Croatone and The Jackpine Snag will be heading out for a quick, 3 day mini tour near the end of august. there ya go. let's keep this moving forward.

hey everybody, that time again. let's update this thing. so, just got a text this morning, and the Nocturnal Aviators in Action ep is finally done. once the artwork is finished, we'll get this thing mass produced and we'll rock it from there. very excited about this one. Fade To Black are finishing up there album and should be out later this year, so look out for that one. The Jackpine Snag and Croatone are trying to put together a quick mini tour at the end of august. watch out midwest. this should kill. well now. next month, January, might just be the busiest month ever for this little label. if the recording gods smile down, we'll have 4, count em, 4, releases. a new No F%@king Egos comp with some of lansing's coolest bands will hopefully be the first. Antilogical have sent me some of their mixed tracks for the next ep they're putting out. sounds fantastic. just hear from the cats in Slumlord Radio that their new ep should be ready in January as well. those guys always put out high energy awesomeness. and last, but not least, The Jackpine Snag 7" ep will hopefully be out at the end of the month (as long as everything goes smoothly at Archer Records). so be on the lookout for all this great music, plus, i'm hoping to have a free sampler ready to go to hand out at shows. how much can you take? probably more, but i'm trying to sound impressive.

so, new update. The Jackpine Snag have been lucky enough to have great support to fully fund their ep to be pressed on 7". that will hopefully coming out early next year. Antilogical are putting the finishing touches on their ep. keep an eye out for that early new year also. yeah, i know, i haven't updated in a while. i think everyone of us has gone thru an extreme laziness spell once or twice. so anyway, update time. The Jackpine Snag are on a short break as my wife and i are having another baby any day now, but we'll be going into the studio with our good friend, Isaac Vander Schuur in early september. Croatone are working vigorously on finishing up their album as is Fade To Black. so expect those in the late fall. also, as if once forgotten, The Nocturnal Aviators in Action ep will hopefully be finished in the fall also. yay! Antilogical are in the process of working on a new ep. can't wait for that. Fade To Black have some good shows coming up soon, so check those out. the next installment of No F@%king Egos will be coming out at the end of the year. if yr in one of the bands i've talked to about getting a track from, october 31 is the deadline. also, keeps yr eyes open for a Silver Maple Kill show here in lansing in the fall. gonna get all the bands together for a show. should be rad.
